Oh, The Places You Will Go

This title is probably familiar to many people...many of you may have received this book by Dr. Seuss upon graduation from high school or college (I did). To spiritualize a bit...Oh, The Places You Will Find God...I found God in a Starbucks in Lynchburg, VA a few days after New Years. What is even crazier is God began this meeting nearly 19 years ago in High Point NC while refinishing floors at Wesleyan Academy.

The week after Christmas Christy attended a class at Liberty University. Just to get away I decided to go with her. 1 afternoon I didn't have much to do so I took a chance Jon Dupin (lead pastor at Brentwood Church) was at the church. He was, we talked for a few minutes and decided to meet the next morning at Starbucks. During that meeting I talked and then I listened...using Jon's voice God spoke directly to the wound that was in my soul. Using Jon's voice God destroyed the idol of insecurity. Using Jon's voice God destroyed the chains of fear.

I write this for multiple reasons but 1 you never know who God when God will show up. 2 you never know who God will use to speak to you. 3 I want to give credit where credit is due. That conversation was a navigational beacon for 2 out of the last 3 sermons.
