A Four Letter Word: GUTS!

What a journey I have been on! It is amazing the ways God speaks to us, sometimes in the most unusual places. Over the last couple months I've been really watching and listening to God. It all started with the realization I'd become a bit stagnate in my relastionship with Him. I knew I needed to take a step of faith. I needed to do something, that depended solely on God. It was while on vacation I truly felt the leading of God in a particular way.

Well, I arrived back home and almost began talking myself out of it God used a four letter word to get my attention..I was reviewing the story the children had been taught about God parting the Jordan the night before at VBS. I asked a question, 'What did the priest have to do before the waters parted?" Answer: they had to step in to fast moving river at flood stage before the Jordan stopped flowing. Then I asked, 'To do this it took something, what is the word?" That was when Andrew yelled out 'GUTS.' I thought about it and said, that is a good definition of faith, guts.

Here is the question I pondered: Do I have the GUTS to put it out there...Mark Batterson says, if 'we don't have the guts. God doesn't have the glory that is rightfully His.' So while my 'gut' twist and turns I know it is a step I must take. I don't know what the outcome will be and I don't know what kind of response I will get but I will no longer let my emotions dictate what I do or don't do. I am certainly ready for the ride.
