Record Timing

Wow, I've already posted the latest slides from this mornings service. This sermon really began with Isaiah 61:1-3 and came out of many of my own struggles with the challenges life lays at our feet. When those challenges appeared I realized I was replacing God with things like insecurity and self-pity...this is nothing more than self worship...that is partially why I have began wearing a bracelet with the message, "I am second." It is continual reminder...The Creator of life is the Lord of life and most importantly He is Lord of my life.  The result of him being Lord, when temptation comes I have the power to choose obedience. Choosing obedience doesn't guarantee we won't have challenges in this life but it give us the confidence to know God is on our side and He has the final word. The doctor doesn't have the final word, the car mechanic doesn't have the final word, the house repair man doesn't have the final word and most importantly death doesn't have the final word...beauty for ashes because of the Resurrection.
